NO ON-SITE CLASSES OR REMOTE EDUCATION HELD ON TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 15TH, 2020

South Hamilton CSD was recently notified that an individual in the secondary building has tested positive for COVID-19 on September 14, 2020.

The individual is following CDC guidelines and is monitoring their health in self-isolation. The District is coordinating closely with public health officials and following CDC, state, and local health guidance in order to assure the health and safety of our community.

The district is working with the Iowa Department of Public Health and Hamilton County Health and anyone who was in contact with this individual has been contacted. I want to remind our staff and students: if you have symptoms of COVID-19, you should contact your physician
immediately.

If a student is being quarantined, they can still learn remotely using Google Classroom and Google Meet.

We will be following all CDC guidelines for cleaning and disinfecting prior to building/district reopening. We encourage all of you to continue following the CDC’s recommendations to remain healthy and well.

The district will be communicating out the all students, parents, and stakeholders later today as per the plan for all students in both buildings. THERE WILL BE NO ON-SITE CLASSES OR REMOTE EDUCATION HELD ON TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 15TH AS THE DISTRICT PREPARES TO TRANSITION BY DEEP CLEANING EACH BUILDING AND INSTRUCTIONAL DELIVERY IS FINALIZED.
