Woodworking Class Manufacturing Tour

The South Hamilton woodworking class toured three different manufacturing locations: AML Riverside, Iowa Central’s Industrial Maintenance Department, and Nestle Purina. The students were able to see the manufacturing process behind both AML Riverside and Nestle Purina’s products. The students also received a tour of Iowa Central’s campus, but most importantly their Industrial Maintenance Department. They were given ample information on what the program has to offer. For example, it is a one year program that can land them in a job where they would start off making $50,000. Not surprisingly, a few of the students are genuinely considering this as a career path.
