Other Announcements:

Congratulations to the high school girls track team for a great performance at the class 2A state qualifying meet in State Center last night. The automatic state qualifiers are Emma Lewis, Abby Ervin, Anna Lammers, Kelbe Krumm, Kate Barkema, Ashlyn Erickson, and Tanna Thompson. The girls won the sprint medley, 4×200 relay, 4×100 relay, and the long jump. They finished runner up in the open 400 and 4×400 relay. THe Hawks will compete next week at the state track meet at Drake stadium. Great job ladies and go Hawks!

Congratulations to the Boy’s Track team for qualifying 7 events to the State Track meet in Des Moines next week.  District champs were Austin Busch in the Discus and shot put with a New School record of 58’1.25.  Brock Galetich in the 100 meters and Tanner Blue in the 110 High Hurdles. Placing 2nd were Freddie Lewis in the 800, distance medley team of Brock Galetich, Kyler Hodnefield, Ty Skartvedt, and Freddie Lewis.  4 x 800 team of Freddie Lewis, Eli Potter, Ty Skartvedt, and Clay Willadsen. Placing third was the Sprint Medley team of Chayton Ewurs, Kyler Hodnefield, Brock Galetich, and Freddie Lewis and Brock Galetich in the 200 meter dash!!  Go Hawks!!

ALL HS CHOIR will meet together 5 A&B and you will ALL eat lunch 5C today and Monday.

Large Group and Individual Speech: The Large Group and Individual Speech awards breakfast will be held on Tuesday, 5/18 @ 7:50 AM in Ms. Hommes’s room.

Orders are due by Sunday the 16th at midnight.

All students from Mrs. Peterson’s Kindergarten class are invited to gather in the gym on Monday, May 17th during A lunch. We will share a fun book Mrs. Peterson made for her students and would like to get a photo. The book is available in Mrs. Gelder’s office if you would like to check it out.

The Sweet Treats Ice Cream Truck will be at the high school on Thursday, May 20th, 2021 to help celebrate the seniors’ last day. They are offering single scoop cups for $2.50 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the north parking lot. All are invited to enjoy a treat after school.

Kona Ice will be coming to the MS/HS building next Wednesday May 19th.  Please check the school website/Facebook page for information to prepay or cash will be taken that day.  20% of sales will be given back to the school.

There is a sign up sheet at the office for all 8th-11th grade girls interested in going out for volleyball next year.

Reminder Hamilton County Fair Livestock Nominations are due today to Mr. Ness! No late entries will be accepted.

The end of the year is coming up quickly! Time to get your library books turned in and fines paid!

Seniors —

May 17th — All seniors’ books are due back to the library.

May 18th – 9:30 – 10:30 and

May 19th – 1:30-3:00

May 20th  – Seniors’ Last Day

Seniors: Stop at the office on Monday to pick up your check out sheet. Sheets are due back at the office by the end of the day on Wednesday, May 19th. You will need all of your fees paid, text books and laptops turned in and locker cleaned out by that time.

Premier schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Friday HS Students: 6:30am  MS Students: 7:15am

When students are in the halls, in class, especially study halls; other than while eating lunch everyone should have it on with it covering both their nose and mouth. This is everyone’s concern and responsibility.
